Warm, rustic character with the stability of thermally modified spruce. This solid wood tongue & groove wall cladding features a distinctive hewn and brushed surface that adds depth, texture and natural warmth to interiors and architectural projects.
The spruce is thermally treated at temperatures of up to 200°C. This treatment improves dimensional stability and moisture resistance while giving the wood its warm, refined appearance. It is a versatile choice for walls, ceilings, saunas, wellness areas and suitable exterior applications.

Special version: the 42 mm board is a square-edge board without tongue & groove. This is clearly identified in the variant selector.

Check spacing and fixing
Check the spacing of the battens and make sure the substructure is fixed correctly for the particular wall construction.

Align the first rows
Use a spirit level when installing the first two rows so that the wall cladding starts straight.

Sort the boards by appearance
View the surface structure and colour from a distance of approximately 2–4 m. If necessary, exchange individual boards until the desired overall appearance is achieved. Have screws and a cordless screwdriver ready.

Fix through the inner groove edge
Screw the boards to the counter battens through the inner edge of the groove. The fixing should then be covered by the following board. Alternatively, the boards can also be stapled in the groove.

Secure every third row
According to our installation guide, it is sufficient to secure every third row to the counter battens.

Close the joints carefully
Adjust the position of the boards with a wooden block and hammer. The boards should fit firmly together. Push them together until no small open joints remain visible. The tongue is stained in the respective surface colour.

Leave an expansion gap
Leave a gap of approximately 8–10 mm to adjoining walls. This gives the wood room to move as it adjusts to changes in moisture.

Why is a substructure used for tongue & groove wall cladding?
The counter battens create a straight, secure fixing plane for the boards. In our installation method, the battens are mounted at approximately 30–40 cm intervals.
Where are tongue & groove boards fixed so the screws remain hidden?
The boards are screwed through the inner edge of the groove into the substructure. The next board then covers the fixing point, creating a clean finished surface.
Why are the first rows especially important?
The first rows determine the alignment of the entire wall. They should therefore be checked carefully with a spirit level before the rest of the cladding is installed.
Why should the boards be sorted before installation?
Natural wood varies in colour, structure and grain. Viewing and arranging the boards from roughly 2–4 m away before fixing them helps create a balanced overall appearance on the finished wall.
How much edge clearance should be left with tongue & groove cladding?
Leave approximately 8–10 mm to adjoining walls. This expansion gap gives the wood room to move as indoor humidity changes.
