Frequently Asked Questions About Reclaimed Wood

Helpful information about reclaimed wood, wall cladding, installation, natural variations and choosing the right product for your project.

What makes reclaimed wood unique?

Reclaimed wood has developed its individual appearance over many years. Variations in colour, grain, knots, cracks and traces of ageing are natural characteristics of the material and make every surface unique.

Are colour and surface variations normal?

Yes. Real wood is a natural material, so no two boards or panels are completely identical. Colour tones, grain patterns, knots and signs of ageing can vary from piece to piece and are part of the authentic character of reclaimed and solid wood.

How is reclaimed wood wall cladding installed?

Installation depends on the product. Tongue-and-groove boards are normally installed mechanically on a suitable substructure, while selected wall panels can be bonded to a clean, dry and stable surface with a suitable flexible polymer-based installation adhesive. Please follow the information provided on the individual product page.

Can I order a wood sample before purchasing?

Yes. Samples are available for selected wall cladding products and are a useful way to evaluate the real colour, texture and surface of the wood before choosing material for a larger project.

Can reclaimed wood wall panels be used in bathrooms?

Suitable wood wall panels can be used in bathroom interiors when installed correctly and protected from excessive moisture. They should not be installed in direct wet areas such as inside a shower. Always check the information for the specific product before installation.

Which wood product is right for my project?

Our range includes reclaimed wood wall cladding, three-layer wood panels, reclaimed wood beams, wooden lighting and infrared loungers. The best choice depends on whether the wood is intended for wall design, furniture, architectural elements or a specific interior project.
